New Single
Track – Living a Lie
Artist – The Amazons
Genre - Alternative/Indie, Rock
My take – I will be writing about these guys as one of my past fave albums so I was excited to hear this new single from their upcoming album. This one has a cool afro-beat that builds to an anthemic rocker finish.
New Album
Album – Reason Enough
Artist - Crows
Top Tracks – Reason Enough, Living On My Knees, Silhouettes, D-Gent
Genre - Alternative/Indie Rock, Rock, Post-Punk
My take – More melodic than their last couple albums, this new album from Crows is still rock and roll to it’s core with a heavy dose of post-punk straight out of the late 70s.
Fave Album
Album – Caustic Love
Artist - Paolo Nutini
Top Tracks – Scream, Iron Sky, Diana, Cherry Blossom
Genre - Soul, Funk, Blues, Motown
My take – I can’t say enough good things about this album. Every time I go back to it I am super glad I did. This is a modern take on so many genres and influences, I hesitate to list them. Just give this one a listen and enjoy.
Fave Track
Album – Darkest Hour
Artist - Sevdaliza
Genre – Alternative, Dance, Pop
My take – Piano and Sevdaliza’s vibrato in a mezmerizing start followed by a steady beat and introduction of synths leading into a killer bass groove that ultimately kicks off a danceable track that is dark and brooding all the way through.
