My take – New track from The Velveteers which is a punky, dance rocker which promises good things from their upcoming album. Looking forward to that, for sure.

Album – Last To Run
Artist - Pineapple Thief
Top Tracks – Last To Run, Election Day, The World To Me
Genre - Prog Rock, Neo-Prog, Rock
My take – A progressive rock album that has elements of prog artists like Pink Floyd, Yes, Smashing Pumpkins and A Perfect Circle, but with a modern touch to it. The songs build, fall, and build again with intricate instrumentation and crystal clear production.

Fave Album
Album – In the Spirit World Now
Artist - Ceremony
Top Tracks – In the Spirit World Now, Presaging the End, From Another Age
Genre - Alternative/Indie, Post-Punk, Punk
My take – Angular post-punk with shouting vocals in the vein of Talking Heads, B-52’s, this album has a bit of it all. Presaging the End is one of my all time tracks in this genre with some guitar work towards the end that reminds me of mid-80s Hall & Oates. But don’t think anything else on this album is even remotely related to Hall & Oates, or you will be sorely disappointed.

Fave Track
Album – Aladdin
Artist - Thomas Abban
Genre – Alternative/Indie, Rock
My take – Guitar forward rocker that was definitely influenced by Prince. This track promises a lot from a young guitarist with the ability to groove.
