New Track
Track - Living in a Bad Place
Artist - Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon
Album – In These Dying Times
Genre - Alternative/Indie
My take – Disco beats and a dark, rythmic track featuring guitar and synths that breaks into a cool pyschedelic space rock vibe about halfway through.
New Album
Album – Ultrabliss
Artist - Mother’s Cake
Top Tracks – Love Me, Serotonin, Poor Boy, Into the Light
Genre - Alternative/Indie, Psychedelic Rock
My take – Their fifth album takes from multiple influences and genres on each track but it 60’s psychedelic rock at it’s core. It has a four tracks over 7 minutes with one approaching 10 so they have room to experiment with different grooves.
Fave Album
Album – My Love is a Hurricane
Artist - David Ramirez
Top Tracks – I Wanna Live in Your Bedroom, My Love is a Hurricane, Shine on Me, Coast to Coast
Genre - Alternative/Indie, R&B
My take – Moving away from his folk roots, this moody, R&B influenced rock album has plenty of soul at it’s heart.
Fave Track
Track – The Octopus
Artist - Amplifier
Album – The Octopus
Genre - Prog, Alternative/Indie
My take – Tool and Incubus had a baby and this 9-minute track is the result. Enjoy it.
