My take – An upbeat Australian band with a psychedelic vein that might remind you of the mellower side of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Groovy bass lines and rhythmic tunes that pay homage to 70s psychedelia.

Artist - Mars Volta
Top Tracks – Enlazan las tinieblas, The Iron Rose, Cue the sun, Morgana
Genre - Alternative/Indie, Prog
My take – Don’t let the Spanish title fool you, the lyrics are all in English from this Texas duo. Afrobeats, horns, synths, distorted guitars, unnerving time changes, the kitchen sink… it can be a challenging listen at times but there are quite a few really good moments.

Artist - Anika

Genre - Post-Punk, Alternative/Indie
My take – On the punkier side of post-punk, this EP is for fans of Savages, PJ Harvey, Siouxsie and Stella Rose. Unapologetic

Fave Track
Track – Nuclear Fusion
Artist - King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Genre - Alternative/Indie, Psychedelic
My take – These guys are prolific in their output and not every album grabs me but this album did and this is my favourite track on it.
